After One Month of Phase 1 Construction – Main Street Project

As Moonlight Madness weekend kicks off, there is updated information regarding Phase 1 construction. Concrete resurfacing has concluded at the Highway 20 and Cherry Street intersection. At this time however, this route is still unaccessible for use. Traffic will be reinstated depending on monitored concrete maturity and strength.

At the Highway 83 and Cherry Street intersection, excavation and subgrade preparation is complete and parts have been resurfaced. Excavation has also ceased at the 4th and Main Street intersection, allowing for temporary concrete surfacing to begin.

Following up on the discovered fuel tank, the approvals necessary for removal have been granted and a “Notice to Proceed” is currently in effect. The personnel tasked with this tank closing will schedule removal and also complete sampling, monitoring and closure reports.

As always, thank you for your continued patience throughout the first month of construction, and have a safe Hallo-Weekend!
