About Us

Valentine, Nebraska, was incorporated in 1884 shortly after the railroad came through the area. Though it is now known as the Heart City, Valentine actually got its name from E.K. Valentine, a popular congressman in the area. The town’s unique history has been flourished from generations of ranching life, American Indian heritage, railroad traffic, and outlaw lore. And today, it’s a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.
