The Cherry County Hospital, built in 1975, is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The facility provides acute care, swing bed, outpatient, custodial care, home health, hemodialysis, and ambulance service. Special services offered are in-house mammography; spiral computed tomography; ultrasound; cardiac rehabilitation; and physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapy.
Mobile services offered are nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, electroencephalography, sleep studies, magnetic resonance imaging, echocardiography, and vascular testing. Fourteen different medical specialists, including the fields of cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, podiatry, physical medicine, hematology/oncology, neurology, neurophsychology, eurosurgery, otolaryngology, audiology, allergy and immunology, and pulmonology, visit the hospital on a scheduled basis to conduct outpatient clinical and surgical procedures.
The Valentine Medical Clinic Family Practice and the Cherry County Clinic Family Practice provide in-house X-ray, CDL testing, certified urine drug collections, and minor outpatient surgery.
