Phase 1: Valentine Main Street Construction Update

As we reach the middle of the week, there are multiple updates to be shared regarding the Main Street Project. It is our pleasure to announce work is nearing completion for Phase 1.

The fuel tank discovered at 4th and Main Street has been removed and repair of an existing copper water line has been finalized. The remaining concrete is scheduled for placement today, contingent on weather, and final preparations are underway. Professionals have completed and submitted individual requirements, sampling, and documentation for the many different concrete placements between intersections, Cherry Street, and Main Street. Surveillance will continue over concrete maturity and strength to restore access to Cherry Street and remove current traffic controls.

We are appreciative to the Department of Transportation for timeliness on this project and to the patience of the Valentine community in these efforts.
